1. What is included in my rental?
All of our villas include a private pool. We also offer a condos ideal for smaller groups of two to four guests, each with access to a community pool within the complex. Every home includes access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club and the Mauna Lani Sports Club not to mention premium linens, beach gear, and a fully equipped kitchen.

2. Do you offer discounts for direct bookings?
Yes. Guests who book Abita Luxury Rentals directly save on third-party fees and may receive exclusive return-guest offers.

3. What is your payment and cancellation policy?
Payment Schedule: 100% of the total is due at the time of reservation.
Cancellation Policy:

• 100% of paid prepayments are refundable when canceled 30 days or more before arrival.
• 50% refundable when canceled 15 days or more before arrival.
• No refund if canceled within 15 days of arrival.
  
  

5. Should I buy travel insurance?
We recommend travel insurance for all Hawaii vacations to protect your trip from weather or unforeseen changes.

During Your Stay

6. Do we have access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club and Sports Club?
Yes. All Abita Luxury Rentals guests enjoy full access to both the Mauna Lani Beach Club and the Mauna Lani Sports Club, two of the most sought-after amenities on the Kohala Coast.

• Mauna Lani Beach Club: A private oceanfront cove ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding in calm, protected waters. Guests enjoy complimentary beach parking, shaded loungers, and access to the Napua restaurant, known for its relaxed beachfront dining and sunset views.
• Mauna Lani Sports Club: A premier fitness and recreation center featuring a state-of-the-art gym, lap pool, and well-maintained tennis and pickleball courts. Classes and personal training may be available through the club for an additional fee.

Guests staying with us receive exclusive access to the Mauna Lani Sports Club, a facility normally reserved for members only. This rare inclusion allows our guests to enjoy premium fitness, tennis, and recreation within the private Mauna Lani Resort community.

7. Are daily cleanings included?
A professional cleaning is completed before arrival and after departure. Additional cleanings can be arranged upon request at the guest’s expense.

8. Is there construction nearby?
There is construction near the Nohea properties. Work takes place on weekdays only and never during evenings or weekends.

9. What amenities are provided?
Each home is equipped for comfort and convenience, featuring air conditioning, Wi-Fi, private or shared pools, outdoor hot tubs, and access to the Mauna Lani community fitness facilities. Guests enjoy a full kitchen with premium appliances, BBQ grill, coffee maker, and essentials for dining in. Homes include a washer and dryer, quality linens, and secure parking within gated communities. All properties are non-smoking, pet-free, and family-friendly.

10. Can we host gatherings or events?
We understand that many guests visit the Big Island to celebrate special occasions, and our homes offer a beautiful setting for time with family and friends. Small gatherings are welcome; however, please note that our properties have a firm occupancy limit of eight guests. To maintain comfort and community guidelines, All properties observe community quiet hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and large gatherings or parties are not permitted.

11. How do we get to the property?
Traveling to the Big Island is simple, with many major hubs along the West Coast of the United States and Canada offering direct flights to Kona International Airport (KOA). Cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and Calgary provide convenient nonstop access to the island.

Kona International Airport (KOA) is located on the western coast of Hawaii Island, a 40-minute drive from the Mauna Lani Resort area, where all Abita Luxury Rentals properties are located.

12: Do I need a rental car during my stay?
A: Yes, we recommend renting a vehicle to fully enjoy the Mauna Lani Resort communities and explore the island. Car rentals are conveniently available at the Kona International Airport.

13. Can you help with trip planning?
While we are not a full concierge service, our team is happy to help you plan a seamless Big Island experience. We can share our most trusted recommendations for private chefs, spa services, local restaurants, golf cart rentals, and guided excursions such as snorkeling, hiking, and sightseeing along the Kohala Coast. We’re also glad to suggest our favorite hidden beaches and island activities that pair beautifully with a stay in Mauna Lani.

14. What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM.
