Preparing for Your Stay at an Abita Luxury Rental

At the Property
What Is Included with Every Abita Stay
Kitchen
Fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, cookware, and serveware. Basic staples including spices, oil, coffee, ketchup, and mustard are stocked at arrival.
Linens and Toiletries
Fresh linens, bath towels, and beach towels are provided. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and toilet paper are stocked throughout the property.
Home Amenities
High-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, a washer and dryer, and air conditioning throughout.
Beach Equipment
Cooler, wagon, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, and umbrella included with every property.
Bicycles
Nohea properties include two large and two small adult bicycles, ideal for exploring the resort trails and reaching the Beach Club.
Mauna Lani Beach Club
All Abita guests receive Beach Club access, including the parking lot, restrooms, showers, beach loungers on a first-come basis, white sand beach, and a calm bay for swimming and snorkeling.

Getting Around
Car Rentals and Transportation
A rental car is strongly recommended. The Big Island is expansive and a vehicle opens up the full range of what the island has to offer, from black sand beaches to the volcano. Rental agencies are located at Kona International Airport (KOA) and close at firm times, so plan your arrival window accordingly.
Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, and Alamo are all available at KOA. Early booking is advised, particularly during peak seasons.
- Parking Free parking is available at each Abita property. The Beach Club pass provides access to the beach parking lot.
- Alternatives Uber and taxis service the area. Golf carts are also available to rent for exploring within Mauna Lani Resort.
Stocking Up
Grocery Options Near Mauna Lani
- Foodland Mauna Lani A short walk or drive from all Abita properties. Smaller format, ideal for everyday essentials, fresh poke, and a quick lunch.
- Foodland Waimea 20 minutes north. Larger and well-stocked, with the same local selection including poke and spam musubi.
- Costco Kona 30 to 40 minutes south. US and Canadian membership cards are accepted for both gas and groceries.
- Safeway Kona Also located in Kona, 30 to 40 minutes from the properties.
